Plinko Payout Tables: 8–16 Rows, Risk Levels and AUD Returns

A Galton board: clear hexagonal pegs above vertical channels, with the balls stacked in columns of different heights

A Plinko payout table gives the total return for each landing pocket at a particular row count and risk level. There is no universal chart: the verified classic BGaming tables below cover all 27 combinations of 8–16 rows and Low, Medium and High risk; Stake’s separate maximum-payout chart includes Expert, reaching 10,000x at 16 rows. Multiply your stake by the pocket value to find the credit, then subtract the stake to find your profit or loss.

We use illustrative Australian dollar amounts throughout. These calculations do not establish Australian access, AUD deposit support or a casino’s withdrawal terms. For practice without a deposit, use our free Plinko learning demo.

For a different fixed 16-row game, our Plinko 1000 payout tables list InOut’s blue, green and red rewards, including the 135x red pocket and the 200x green edge.

Reading a payout table in AUD

A 0.2x pocket returns one fifth of the stake. A$2 staked there credits A$0.40, leaving a net loss of A$1.60. At 1x the same stake returns A$2 and breaks even; at 2x it credits A$4 and earns A$2 profit. At 1,000x it credits A$2,000, including the original A$2.

The formulas are credit = stake × multiplier and net result = stake × (multiplier − 1). We treat only a result above 1x as a profitable drop. A coloured pocket or a positive credit can still represent a loss.

  1. Identify the provider and exact game title in the information panel. A chart for classic BGaming Plinko does not establish the payouts in another studio’s game.
  2. Set the rows and risk before reading the strip. An 8-row board has nine pockets; a 16-row board has 17.
  3. Read the values from far left to far right. Count repeated values separately: five adjacent 0.2x pockets have five separate landing probabilities.
  4. Record the stake currency and check any maximum-win rule. Our AUD arithmetic assumes the displayed multiplier applies in full, before any conversion or operator restrictions.

Full BGaming multiplier tables: 8–16 rows

We checked these numbers against the paytable supplied by the official classic BGaming demo. Its data calls the middle setting Medium; the calculator below labels it Normal. They refer to the same column here. These tables describe that demo configuration, rather than every customised BGaming release or another provider’s board.

Each number is a gross multiplier including the returned stake. The 16-row table shows individual pockets; expand another row count for its complete left-to-right strips. Every configuration remains readable without running the calculator.

Pocket 0 is the far left, pocket 8 the centre and pocket 16 the far right. Probability is the chance of that particular pocket, shared by all three risk settings in this verified configuration.

Stake maximum payouts, including Expert

Stake’s current product page names four settings: Easy, Medium, Hard and Expert. Its published chart gives maximum multipliers, rather than every pocket. The chart does not supply the inner pocket values for Expert. Our Stake mechanics guide explains its controls and result verification.

More rows do not guarantee a higher maximum: Easy drops from 10x at 12 rows to 8.1x at 13. Expert’s 10,000x headline also cannot tell you its complete loss probability; that calculation requires all its pocket values.

Risk levels: loss frequency and edge odds

In the verified BGaming tables, risk changes payouts while leaving the pocket probabilities unchanged for a chosen row count. At 16 rows, Low’s central pocket pays 0.5x, Medium’s pays 0.3x, and High’s five middle pockets each pay 0.2x. High therefore concentrates much more of its return in the outer pockets.

Medium and High have the same chance of a profitable drop in this 16-row configuration, but very different amounts at stake in each outcome. High’s 1,000x maximum does not make profitable drops more frequent than Medium’s 110x maximum. Low has fewer losing drops here, yet its calculated return is still below the amount wagered.

For independent, equally likely left/right turns, pocket k on an n-row board has probability C(n,k) / 2^n. The demo supplies probabilities matching this model. Stake also documents a left/right decision for each row. Each edge has only one possible path; the middle has many.

  • 8 rows: either edge occurs with probability 2/256, or 1 in 128 per drop. In the BGaming High table those edges pay 29x.
  • 12 rows: either edge is 2/4,096, or 1 in 2,048. High pays 170x there.
  • 16 rows: either edge is 2/65,536, or 1 in 32,768. High pays 1,000x there; a specified single edge is 1 in 65,536.

Those are per-drop probabilities. For 1,000 independent 16-row High drops, the calculated chance of at least one 1,000x result is 1 − (1 − 1/32,768)^1,000, about 3.01%. The remaining chance, about 96.99%, is of no 1,000x result in that batch. No number of earlier misses makes the next drop due.

RTP and the cost of repeated drops

We calculate RTP by multiplying each pocket’s probability by its multiplier, adding the results and multiplying by 100. Do not average the pocket multipliers without weighting them: rare edge pockets would receive far too much weight. Probability and payout together determine return.

BGaming’s product page advertises 99% RTP. From the supplied 16-row High values, we calculate 98.9764%. The difference is 0.0236 percentage points. Our calculator uses the supplied pocket values, so its displayed RTP can differ from the product page’s headline.

For 1,000 fixed A$1 drops on that High table, turnover is A$1,000 and expected net loss is approximately A$10.24. This assumes all 1,000 drops are funded and completed. It is an average over the mathematical distribution, rather than a prediction of a session’s final balance; stopping early or running out of funds changes the session being modelled. Use our bankroll and limits guide before considering repeated play.

Check the game before using a chart

We recommend saving the full payout strip alongside the provider, row count, risk setting and stake. Compare every pocket with the chart, including the centre. A shared 1,000x maximum alone cannot identify a paytable. If any value differs, use the game’s own information panel and stop applying this chart’s calculated RTP or loss frequency.

For a disputed result, preserve the round ID, selected configuration, bet amount and credited amount. Recalculate the expected credit, then follow our provably fair verification guide where the game offers that feature. A fairness check and a payout calculation answer separate questions.

For Australians, a published payout table does not establish that a real-money service is lawful to provide here. ACMA lists online casino-style services among illegal online gambling services and reports complaints about withheld winnings. Read our Interactive Gambling Act guide before treating access to an offshore lobby as permission to play. For learning, start with a non-cash demo, identify its version and then compare its strip.

For the sequel’s different base strips and feature surcharges, see our BGaming Plinko 2 review. Its displayed payouts do not justify reusing the classic binomial probabilities calculated here.

For a board with bonus pins and a separate feature, read our Galaxsys Plinko Dice review. These classic pocket probabilities do not establish that game’s maximum-award odds.

Frequently asked questions

Is a 1,000x payout the same as a 1,000% return?

No. A 1,000x gross payout equals 100,000% of the stake returned. A gross return of 1,000% equals 10x. Check whether a percentage describes total credit or net profit before comparing it with a multiplier.

What if my demo balance uses FUN rather than AUD?

FUN is a non-cash demo denomination. You can use an illustrative AUD stake for arithmetic, but that does not convert the demo balance into withdrawable money or establish a real-money minimum bet.

How should I handle fractions of a cent in a payout calculation?

Keep full precision while multiplying, then check the game’s currency precision and settlement rules. Do not infer the credited amount from an interface value rounded for display.
