Plinko Casino Won’t Pay? Withdrawal Disputes in Australia

If a Plinko casino will not pay your withdrawal, stop depositing, save the balance and transaction records, and submit a formal complaint to the operator named in your account terms. Request the exact reason for withholding payment and a written decision. Escalate an unresolved eligible dispute to the operator’s independent dispute-resolution provider. ACMA can receive reports about illegal gambling services, but Australian regulators cannot recover winnings withheld by an illegal offshore operator.

We recommend handling the casino complaint and any suspected payment fraud separately: each needs different evidence, and waiting for casino support could delay an urgent report to your bank. For the Australian legal position, see our Interactive Gambling Act and Plinko guide.

What to do before another support chat

  1. Preserve the money and the record. Stop playing and leave the withdrawal request in place. Save the cashier screen, account balance, withdrawal reference, request time and any refusal. Record the time zone as well as the date.
  2. Identify the legal company, website domain, claimed licence number and complaints procedure. Keep copies of the account terms and any bonus terms you accepted.
  3. Ask support whether the withdrawal is awaiting operator approval, awaiting a specific document, rejected, or already sent. Request the missing item or payment reference in writing.
  4. Use the formal complaints channel if support cannot resolve the problem. Keep proof of submission and diarise the applicable response and escalation dates.

If money has left your bank account without permission, or you suspect a scam, contact your bank immediately as well. You do not need to finish the casino complaint before reporting that risk.

Find the point where payment stopped

Compare the status with the operator’s published withdrawal policy. A complaint deadline is a separate clock from a promised processing time: the regulator’s response window does not mean every withdrawal should take that long. Our withdrawal timing guide explains why operator approval and payment delivery need separate checks.

Questions to send for the status shown in your account
Status or explanationAsk forKeep as evidence
Pending or under reviewThe outstanding step, the policy being applied and the next update dateOriginal request time, quoted processing terms and each later promise
Identity verification incompleteThe specific document, rejection reason and secure upload routeSubmission receipts and acceptance or rejection messages
Bonus or maximum-bet breachThe clause and version, affected round IDs, stake calculation and balance adjustmentPromotion terms, bonus ledger and bet history
Paid, but money missingA bank/payment-provider trace reference, or crypto transaction hash and networkDestination details and the relevant bank or wallet history
Account blocked or balance removedA written decision, account ledger and explanation of treatment of deposits and winningsClosure notice, balance before closure and previously available records

A request for identity documents alone does not establish wrongdoing. We suggest asking what failed before repeatedly sending the same file. Verify the recipient and upload channel first; keep identity documents out of public complaints. If the website has disappeared, use previously saved correspondence to identify the company and contact details. Do not submit documents to a replacement domain merely because it uses the same logo.

Evidence specific to a Plinko round

If the dispute concerns an uncredited win, save the provider, exact game title, round ID, currency, stake, ball count, multiplier and balance movement. For a batch of balls, request the total debit and the individual settlements. For a seed-based game, preserve the available verification data privately; our provably fair verification guide explains the records needed to reproduce a result. A successful calculation still leaves the separate question of whether the operator paid the balance.

For a bonus dispute, request the actual wager the operator says breached its rule. Ask whether its stake limit was applied per ball or per launch. Compare that explanation with the promotion you accepted; our bonus contribution and wagering guide covers those calculations.

A formal complaint you can adapt

Use the operator’s required complaint form or submission channel. We would attach a short chronology with numbered files, so a reviewer can match each allegation to its evidence. Replace every bracketed field and remove any sentence that does not apply.

Subject: Formal withdrawal complaint — account [ID], withdrawal [reference]

I dispute the withholding of [amount and currency] requested on [date, time and time zone]. The current status is [status]. Your stated reason is [exact explanation, or “no reason provided”].

I request [release of the withdrawal / restoration of the disputed balance / investigation of the uncredited round]. My chronology and evidence are attached: [numbered list]. Documents requested on [date] were submitted on [date]; their current verification status is [status].

Please confirm the complaint reference and receipt date, identify any outstanding requirement, and provide a reasoned written decision. If you rely on a terms breach, identify the clause, applicable version and affected transactions. Please also identify the independent ADR provider and escalation procedure applicable to this account.

If you say payment has already been sent, please provide its trace reference or transaction hash, destination, currency and network where relevant.

Check that the form actually submitted: save the confirmation screen, email or ticket number. If access is blocked, record the error and request the complaint form and account records through the contact channel already documented in your account correspondence.

Curaçao and Anjouan: filing and escalation deadlines

Match the licence to the legal entity and exact domain. A footer badge by itself is insufficient. Ask the proposed ADR provider to confirm that it covers this operator, your account and the type of dispute before sending sensitive records.

Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA)

The CGA’s Player Complaints Policy, sections 3–5, provides a free complaint window of six months from settlement of the bet or the incident. Use the operator’s official Complaint Submission Form. For an ordinary withdrawal complaint, acknowledgement and process information are due within one week; assessment and response are due within four weeks. One additional four-week extension is allowed with prior written notice.

If the outcome remains disputed, seek the independent ADR route in the operator’s terms; the operator bears ADR costs. CGA states that it does not decide individual gambling-transaction complaints, although reports can inform supervision. These are complaint-handling deadlines, not guaranteed payout dates.

There is a current verification complication: CGA’s announcement CGA to Transition to a New Regulatory Platform, dated 7 October 2026, says its old portal will not return to service and digital-seal availability is affected. Existing licences and operator obligations remain valid. A failed old portal link alone therefore does not establish that a licence has expired. Check current CGA notices and request evidence identifying the licensed domain.

Anjouan

The published Player Complaint Process directs players to the complaint function accessible through the operator’s interactive site seal. Its filing windows are 14 calendar days for game-outcome disputes and 30 calendar days for account disputes, including payments, suspensions and bonuses. Record the incident date and submit promptly. If your case involves both an uncredited game result and a blocked withdrawal, work to the earlier filing window while asking which category applies.

The operator must investigate and respond within 30 calendar days. An unresolved complaint can then go to approved independent ADR, with costs borne by the operator. Communications must be in English. The process excludes players in excluded territories and premature escalations. Check the country restrictions applicable to your account; Anjouan’s authority does not mediate or adjudicate individual complaints.

If an operator invokes your Australian location or VPN use, preserve what you disclosed at registration and the restriction it cites. Request separate explanations for the remaining deposit balance and disputed winnings. We would ask ADR about eligibility before assuming the claim will be heard.

What ACMA, your bank and AFCA can do

ACMA warns that Australian regulators cannot help recover winnings withheld by illegal offshore gambling services. It accepts reports about illegal services; its consumer guidance links to the complaint form and lists independent legal advice and the relevant overseas licensing authority as options. In complaints reported to ACMA, operators have withheld winnings, disappeared with balances and continued taking money without permission. Save any similar events in your own case as separate entries in the chronology.

If you report the operator, include the website address, company details, payment evidence and correspondence. Keep this report separate from your request for payment through the operator or eligible ADR. An offshore licence does not establish Australian authorisation.

Card chargebacks, PayID and crypto

For a disputed card payment, ask your card issuer whether that particular transaction qualifies for a chargeback and what deadline applies. CommBank’s Disputing a transaction FAQ explains that chargebacks follow card-scheme rules and merchants can challenge them with evidence. A provisional refund can be reversed. Describe an authorised casino deposit accurately; do not report it as unauthorised because the later withdrawal failed.

Illustrative AUD example: you deposited $200 and later requested a $1,200 withdrawal. Identify the $200 bank debit and $1,200 casino balance separately in your evidence. Ask the bank which payment, if any, it can investigate; do not enter $1,200 as though that amount was charged to your card.

For a suspected scam involving a PayID or other bank transfer, contact the sending bank immediately and ask about tracing or recovery. For crypto, report it to the exchange or platform used to send the funds and retain the transaction hash, network and destination address. ASIC’s Moneysmart gives these reporting routes without promising recovery. If dissatisfied with a financial institution’s handling, use its formal complaints process, then consider an eligible AFCA complaint. AFCA is a route for that financial-services complaint, rather than the offshore casino’s payout decision.

Avoid paying again to retrieve the balance

Do not pay a new “release tax”, “verification deposit” or “refundable insurance bond” on the strength of a support message. Moneysmart warns about follow-up recovery scams seeking fees, taxes or deposits. Save the demand as evidence, then seek independent verification rather than sending more money. Our Plinko scam-app warning also covers supposed winnings that require payment to unlock.

To reduce further gambling while the dispute is open, use the blocking and support options in our Australian gambling-help guide. BetStop’s own guidance says its coverage is Australian-licensed online and phone wagering; it does not cover illegally supplied online casino games. Registering does not resolve this offshore withdrawal.

Keep a single case file with your submission, evidence, reply deadline and next eligible escalation. If the operator disappears or ADR cannot accept the claim, take that file to an independent legal adviser before paying to pursue proceedings.

Frequently asked questions

Should I accept a partial payment marked as full and final settlement?

Read the proposed settlement before agreeing. Ask whether accepting it waives the rest of your claim, and obtain independent legal advice if you do not understand its effect. Keep the offer and your response with the complaint file.

Can I submit a complaint for a friend or sell the claim to a recovery service?

The CGA Player Complaints Policy says complaints can only be made by the registered player and describes restrictions on transferring claims against its licensees. Do not assume a recovery business can take over the claim. Ask the applicable ADR provider about representation before sharing records.

Should I post my complaint on a public review website?

If you choose to publish, use a factual timeline and redact account numbers, addresses, payment details and identity documents. Keep the original evidence privately. A public post does not replace the required operator submission or preserve a regulatory filing deadline.
